Say What U Wanna Year in Review

I was gonna do something a bit more fancier but you will live…….

Year in Review

  • We have reached a massive amount of page views and unique monthly views and such. People are asking me to do reviews but this is not a review blog and I won’t be making it one. This space is my personal space to go off, talk shat, and be me.
  • I have toned down my cussing…..*just a tad* but I am doing better with channeling that…..I lied you will still see the word shat on here and on twitter from time to time.
  • I have met 7 or 8 new blog buddies I don’t like none of em…..okay maybe two of them but the rest blah. I hate just talking about blogging stuff like can we talk about other things like growth, future goals, hell I will even talk about kids but if the entire convo is about blogging…..I can’t
  • The grammar po po has been on it with me this year…….more so than usual….I love it keep that coming
  • I spoke at 5 events…..shocking I know most people think I have no edumacation…..lil ole me I promise you I didn’t cuss at either one of them although I wanted to
  • I made a total of 600 bucks doing blog what not this entire yr…..all of that money went into my belly with good steak and shat that I normally ever hardly get to eat cause I am poor
  • I learned that I like photography more than I thought I would that has been the biggest surprise for me this year
  • My main traffic source…Pinterest and I don’t even pin that much stuff from this site. Twitter comes in a close second and instagram is neck to neck with FB. Google + is stepping up but I use that for the magazine.

New Year brings new things

1. I started a series on Kokoa called Focus of the month look for it in hashtag #FocusKokoa (I am using hashtags more and more these days it’s a quick way to keep up on everything you press it and walllah all my stuff comes up)

2. I am going to actually start doing things from my pinterest page instead of having just the pinterest Wed I will do the pinterest Wed then put something that I did from Pinterest no need to keep hoarding stuff on there and not do them.

3. My conversations will continue and the talk Tuesday will also continue.

Nothing else new to share. Follow me on all my social stuff on the right side of the page. Happy New Year to you all I will be back on January the 3rd with a conversation of some sort. I hope this New Years bring you at least one thing your heart desires the most.

I’ve enjoyed reading your blog, Kita! I don’t mind the cussing, but I hear it’s bad for sponsors and shat!!! Looking forward to seeing what your first Pinterest project will be! Happy New Year!!!

  2. Happy New Year to you too Kita! You did good Kita! Congrats on amazing year. I have thoroughly enjoyed. I can ALWAYS count on your blog to make me smile!

  3. Baby Teems says:

Oh please…no review heavy blogging. UGH. I am fine with a little product placement here and there. LOL I know I need to meet more people but I am so content with the people I know. Even the ones I have never met. My love for photography has grown SO much this year. 2014 I am planning to take myself seriously in many ways. I need to get started on my year in review. Cheers to 2014!

  4. LOL…your first sentence has me laughing already. I know what you mean but I like reviews, well ones that are helpful. Reviewing something like swamp land in Antarctica would’t be prudent.

Cuss on, there’s a mom blog who is a sailor and the media loves her.

See you in 2014 and shit (Shat). :)

  5. Lashawn says:

    Keep cussin. I like it.
I’m so glad you had a good year!!
Don’t you hate it when you meet up with a group of bloggers and that’s ALL they want to talk about? The curse of that bloggy life
Ahhh photography. It’s such an expensive wonderful hobby. I love it. I’m obsessed with it. Welcome welcome
    Happy new year!

  6. Enjoyed reading your year in review. Looking forward to more in 2014.

  7. Stefani says:

I have always enjoyed photography but really got into it this year too. I even took a class at my local college to learn more.

I look forward to reading your posts in 2014!

  8. Quiana says:

Great year in review! I say, “Do you” it always works for me ;-) About Pinterest, amazing how it’s such a great source of traffic. I’ve learned so much this year about how powerful it can be (and often underrated). Have a Happy New Year!

  9. Jennifer says:

Focus is my word for 2014! And I think anyone with a pinterest account can identify with wanting to DO more, as opposed to just pinning! I know I can!

  10. Kecia says:

I think I’m going to do a recap like this on my blog! It’s interesting to see how things have gone over the course of a year.

  11. Haha I don’t mind the cussing either! I love how you did the Year in Review for your blog! I need to do something similar!

  12. kim says:

Well good for you!! Where did you speak those 5 times? And what did you speak about?

    • Kita says:

I spoke to 3 camps this past summer girls camps. Spoke about starting a business, how to make your hobby something more, and self esteem issues. Then spoke at a church convention and spoke to another convention for writers

  13. Cussing just adds character. I say you can “say what u wanna”! It’s there in the title – no disclaimer needed.

  14. You’ve got some great goals! And, I love that you put the money towards steak! Yumm!

  15. Kim says:

Fun recap! You must not have met Joi cause I know you would love her!!! (I’m still hoping to meet her and many others!)
So awesome that you get to speak to groups!!!

  16. Hmm, Steak! There’s nothing like treating yourself to a good meal, right?! It’s interesting to hear that Pinterest is your main source of traffic. It’s one that I have been sleeping on too.

  17. I like your blog. Always something interesting

  18. Pinterest is my happy place, come on over! :-)

Happy New Year!! My first time back online since before Christmas it was great to take a break. . I’m really giving some thought to what I want to do in 2014. . . usually it’s a continuation of what I’ve been doing but I’m looking for a reinvention. I’m losing my mojo all around and need to get it back ASAP! LOL! I wish you the BEST of everything for 2014!!

  21. I think “shat” is cool. I’ve never seen it before except on your blog. Congrats on the $600 – that’s major girl. Happy New Year to you!

  22. Half of these grammar po po people have grammatical errors in their stuff from time to time too. Idk why they act they don’t. I’ve only encountered them on Twitter thankfully. Looking forward to your Pinterest Wednesdays and seeing what you will be making. I’m attempting to make more of the things I pin from there as well. We did pretty good in terms of trying some of the crafts stuff with the kiddies. Happy Holidays to you and yours!

  23. lol at the grammar popo. I can’t. I barely proof read my post before I get them up–maybe I should cahnge that in 2014. Anywho yeah, I love meeting new bloggy peeps but talking blogging ALL the time? no thanks. You have done a really fantastic job with your businesses and blog, happy to hear that my favorite talk tuesdays is going no where!
