This week you can find me posted up on Divas With a Purpose. I am talking about life lessons. What are some life lessons that you have learned?
When people come to my house for the first time I serve them. If they have been to my house on numerous occasions I do not serve they better get up and fix a drink or something to eat on their own. With that being said I was asked the other day about serving my husband his dinner. I never serve my husband dinner normally when I cook I make sure the kids plates are fixed first then fix my plate I was informed that I should fix my hubs plate also and serve him at the dinner table……say whaaaaaa. Never did it and probably never will but I have noticed at some peoples house the wife serves their husband they will say honey do you want anything or need anything. I guess this goes with the saying serve your man or make sure the head of the house is taken care of or it can even be seen as the wife being obedient.
My husband asked me the other day to fix his plate for him and I got smart and said are you a guest in this house….he said no I just wanted to see if you would fix my plate…I will take that as a no. I am not the one for all that fix your man a plate I feel like I do a lot I cook, clean, take kids to school, pick them up, etc. I understand my hubs works full time and I do most everything at home 98% actually without any help even if I ask. So the least he can do is fix his own plate. I am probably wrong in doing this but ask me if I care. Do you serve your man? How do you treat guests who come to your house?
