Talk Tuesday

News of the week

1. Hi, guess what the magazine launches tomorrow yippeee. I have went over and over it to make sure I corrected all mistakes but hey if it’s not perfect who cares because the magazine is real and no one is perfect. I have been promoting the website and magazine like crazy so I hope it pays off. Tell everyone you know about the magazine I will have it on my twitter and facebook pages for all to share on Wed.  www.kokoamag.com This has been a busy week for me back to school for Dman on Friday (which is dumb but anywhoo) I am also on the PTO board for my sons school and they are working me like a full time job….yeah it’s a lot. I have to do reports and set up stuff and talk to parents and y’all know me and my attitude I don’t like to many people cause I am afraid someone will get cussed out. Pray for me I joined the board to practice patience but so far it’s not working.

2. Do guns make you safer? That’s the question we debated over the weekend with some of our friends. My hubs friend said he wants to invest in a gun in his home because he has been robbed twice and he is getting tired of it. Problem is he does not know how to shoot a gun or the first thing about owning one. I know here in GA people are allowed to carry guns as long as they have a permit to do so. I remember I saw a lady have a gun in Target one time and she did not look like a cop. My biggest problem with guns is that some people are trigger happy and they do not have the mindset to carry a gun around at all times. I think before you can just carry a gun you should go through an extensive mental evaluation to make sure you are sane and then you can carry one that way if you want to go on a killing spree you can’t blame insanity.

3. This Jackson family feud is ridiculous. I understand Paris wants to tell the world the truth but some things you keep to yourself and you do not blast on twitter or any other social media outlet. I saw the video where Janet tried to take her phone she is a teenager so she does not know any better on what she should and should not be doing. I think the grandma is not capable of taking care of the kids she is up in age and they need to be with someone just a little bit younger who can handle them. I get that sometimes we need to talk our thoughts out I do the same but I would never tell everyone all of my business the less people know the better. Family is funny I don’t trust mines as far as I can see them and it ain’t that much of them can you imagine the stuff that goes on in the Jackson family good gawd.

4. School starts Friday for my son he is going to the first grade. I have a first day of school picture for everyday he started school since he has been 4 and I will make sure I get one this Friday. He is not excited about going back he is not a happy camper and this week we are getting him back ready for bed at 8 and it’s a melt down every night. I am having a melt down of my own though these schools be wanting a bit too much they want us to send toilet tissue, ziploc bags, and wet wipes. I don’t mind the wet wipes cause I send him some all the time along with some hand sanitizer but what is the need with the toilet tissue so the schools don’t provide that each child gotta have their own or something I don’t understand. I am not sending all that mess he never takes a dump at school he holds it til he gets home so toilet tissue will not be in his back pack on Friday.

  1. Everyone is talking about back to school and I’m not ready. I need an extra month of summer.
My husband is buying a gun next week. I agree it would be good to have in case we need to protect ourselves in our home, but I don’t want him carrying it around.
Those Jacksons are a mess. Money is the root of all evil.

  2. Hips4Love says:

I am celebrating the beginning of school! lol and I AGREE!! The district is responsible for toilet tissue! What in the world? and I used to be a teacher! smh
I’m so excited about the magazine! Let’s go!!

  3. BossyGirl says:

Go Kita! Go Kita!!! I can’t wait to see it!

  4. Whitney says:

The school district is asking just a bit much for toilet paper. I can’t believe school starts that early where you are. Mine start on August 16th and I thought that was early. The Jacksons, yes I agree…they all need to sit down, I was trying to be sympathetic, but can’t. Good luck on the magazine, I have it in my reader.

  5. Brenda says:

Kita, I am SOOOOO excited about your new adventure tomorrow! I’m sure it’s going to be great and can’t wait to see the site!

As for guys, I am a PRO gun person. I own my own, I go target shooting, and am responsible. There, just like dog owners, are a lot of irresponsible ones. These are the ones that get into trouble. But how do you weed them out? Difficult task I tell you.

I can’t believe your boy is already going back to school. It’s only the begin of August. Sheesh!

  6. Soo Excited about the magazine!!

My husband has a gun in the house for “protection”. I hate guns. But at least he knows how to use it.

Wait, they want you to bring toliet paper!!!! WTH?

  7. Dr. Reginia says:

I am so excited about the magazine. You’ve worked really hard and it’s great to see so the results.

It’s going to be hard to redefine the parameters of gun control. In the US, everything can be bought under the table. We know the guy killed those people at the movie theater, we need to stop wasting time and money and get rid of him tomorrow. Why wait.

Guys support your school. Teachers in metro Atlanta are taking a 6.25% paycut from a low salary that has been that way for the past five year. Things like toilet paper run out quickly. It’s hard to govern such a private toiletry. Send in a few rolls if you can. Trust, we aren’t hoarding it, it’s needed. With foreclosures hitting local dollars, the money just isn’t there.

  8. Mrs. Pancakes says:

Oh wow…school starting!! Where did the summer
Go? But how exciting first grade! I’ve heard too many stories
Of kids finding guns and killing themselves. Guns don’t make us safer…security and people do!!

  9. Michelle says:

Toilet paper??? I already send in Kleenex, hand soap and hand sanitizer…I’m all for helping the greater good but come on now!

Let’s pray now that no one gets a Kita cussing this school year…Heaven help ‘em!
