Whats going on in my world
1. How was your holiday weekend? Mines was good I chilled and deep cleaned my house. I usually deep clean my house once a month and just spot clean every week. Whenever I clean my house I must have music it makes me clean better and faster. I try to keep a clean home as much as I can with 2 kids under 5. I keep all their toys in their rooms and I allow no toys downstairs. The only thing I don’t understand is the dust where does all this dust come from it’s like I dust today and tomorrow it looks like I never dusted. I am tired.of.dusting. What are some good products that I can use to minimize the dusting?
2. With all the graduations last week it too me back to my graduation from high school to me that was bigger than college. My mom had just gotten out of the hospital that morning from dealing with cancer (she threatened the doctors that if they did not release her for my graduation she would get up and walk) it was a special day because I worked hard to be in the top 20 of my class and I knew my mom was proud. It was like the beginning for me a new life, new friends, a new attitude, and a sense of accomplishment. What do you remember about your graduation?
3. The magazine newsletter for this week is up check it out Kokoa magazine. I introduced some of the key players but I am still looking for more contributors to do articles. The first issue is back to school so if you or anyone you know has a business that deals with kids or school please send them my way I would love to have them in the magazine. I am also looking for a couple who met in college and are still together today I want to feature your story in the magazine. I am also still looking for adds so if you have a business and you are looking for more exposure email me at biztalkwithk@gmail.com so I can get you into the magazine.
4. Some of the topics in the magazine will be about real life and the struggles we go through. I will be touching some nerves with some of the articles but hey that’s what I do. This magazine is about people some of us don’t have a silver spoon in our mouths and I want stories to be heard that some don’t want to hear about. If you have a topic that you have been scared to talk about or something controversial then submit an article nothing is off limits. I have had a few people who want to remain anonymous and that’s fine also just as long as someone hears your story so that maybe they can heal and learn.

It sounds like you had a great weekend! I cleaned a little bit this weekend as well, and I also like cleaning to music. Congrats on your magazine! I am heading over there next to check it out!
The main thing i remember about my graduation was that I felt so FREE!!! I was finally finally going to escape my parents house!!!!
Yes, I love to clean with music in the background. It makes it go faster….I think.
Graduation was an exciting time for me, but I do remember how I thought the world would end when my friends all went their different ways. Luckily, we have kept in touch through the years. =)
HS Graduation was fun and I think my college graduation was on a Sunday. I so can’t remember.
Dust and baseboards… help me please.
Let me go over to check out the magazine. I am happy to know that you’re doing your thing.
It seems like I have to deep clean this house everyday because these kids have too many toys ad always making a mess. My high school graduation was great and it’s crazy more people supported me that day then on my college graduation hmm. Overall my weekend was good. I hosted a barbecue yesterday and had to cook in the rain. I hope I don’t get sick. Have a great week lady!
Girl! You got things going on! Woohoo!!
First and foremost, cleaning is over-rated.
That’s my motto. My house isn’t dirty. It’s clean but not spotless. Our home looks “lived in” and thats just the way we like it.
Dust? Still looking for a cure all for that one.
Graduation was big for me. I thought it would finally get me out from under my parents fingers. Nope, I was wrong. Had to move out of the house for that to happen.
Newsletter looks good! Have you tried the new blogger themes with that? The Dynamic Views? I think there’s one just for like magazines.
Keep up the good work girlie! As always, I look forward to reading more!
Weekend sounds great. What I SHOULD have been doing is getting my ad together for you… Ugh. I need to get moving on that!
So glad for you that your mom was able to be present at your graduation.
I hate dusting too. I just heard of dusting the baseboards with a dryer sheet. I’m curious to give it a try.
Graduation memories: Getting teary eyed before the ceremony because my mom wasn’t there, lining up to walk into the stadium, and the huge party at my house afterwards!
I’m with you. The dust is no joke. Over it!
I don’t know where the dust bunnies come from… A MESS!!!!
It’s been sooo many graduations that I’m really overwhelmed… I’m LIKE REALLY was everybody and their MAMA doing the do on the same night! LOL!
Oops, sorry… I still have to get you my info for the MAG!
Can’t wait for the FULL launch of the MAG!!!! I’m cheering for you… I’m on your TEAM! *Wink
We have tons of dust upstairs. Its like all the dust fly upstairs. When I dust, more dust replaces it immediately.
I was very excited for my high school graduation. I looked forward to freely living with my husband. I looked forward to being grown and making new friends.
I remember how to master the guilt trip that’s always done to me on my graduation. I had a lot of achievements, but when getting dressed I was going to throw on a pair of jeans.
When my mom saw what I was wearing (jeans and tee) she said why aren’t you dressed up. I said, why? We’re just going straight home after, no need to get dressed up (it’s something that happened 4 years ago after being the top in my class, we didn’t even celebrate). That day we celebrated.
The dust I cannot stand. Not only do I not like dusting, but I have to do it so often because people in my home have allergies. I feel like I’m losing my mind keeping the dust away. Now, I’ve heard using a dryer cloth to stop the dust from landing on your stuff. Said it was supposed slow down the rate of dust accumulation.
I did try it when I had dryer sheets, and it did work. Maybe you could try that too.
