Mommy Monday: Thankful for the kids

Since this is Thanksgiving week. I wanted to start the week with what I am thankful for. I am most thankful for my kids. They mean the world to me even though I don’t always sound like they do. I have always been the person who wanted kids but I was scared to have them because well I was kind of selfish. I am an only child and I always got my way ….ok I lied I never got my way but I did not have to share anything or share anyone. Growing up I always thought I don’t think I want kids because you have to give so much of yourself for them and I did not think I was ready for that. Until I had my first born. I looked at him and thought wow look at the baby wait he’s mine and I get to keep him. Then I had the second baby and I thought I am going to be broke with all these cute girl clothes. I am thankful that my kids are healthy and they seem to be happy. They bring the patience that I normally don’t have out of me. They keep my mind busy so that I don’t sit and think about sad thoughts. They love me unconditionally. They give me kisses and hugs just because. Why are you thankful this morning?

Very beautiful post, and I love your honesty.
I am also very thankful for my son and family. I am very thankful for my small circle of friends who are there for me to lean on when I need them….and also thankful for my blog buddies who keep me inspired on many levels. xo

I’m thankful for so much. My family, good friends, my health and my job. My family has really been blessed this year. I, also, felt the same way about kids. When I was younger, I always said I wanted children, but as an adult my feelings changed. I’ll admit it was for selfish reasons. I have half and step siblings, but I was my mom’s only child. All of siblings are older than me so I was treated as an only child and was spoiled. I thought about all the things I wouldn’t be able to do or buy, if we had kids. Once I finally decided I wanted a child, all of those thoughts went out of the window. He is the joy of my life, even when he is driving me crazy. I’m already getting the itch for one more…just one more! LOL

I actually have a friend that will not have kids for the same reason but doesn’t tell people that. I love your honesty, isn’t Mommyhood great :-) . I’m most thankful for peace of mind, this year was a bit rough but I’ve been able to roll with it. Enjoy the hugs and kisses

Such beautiful reasons to be thankful!

I’m thankful for my family. I’m thankful that my 2 year old twins are healthy, especially baby boy. He had surgery at only 3 months. Two years later he’s healthy with a bubbling personality!

    Hugs and Mocha,
